How to Avoid Unhealthy Cravings
15 October 2020
Food cravings are the worst, trust us, we know! But don’t worry, we all get them. As we spend more time at home, and in closer reach to the fridge and cupboard, here are some easy ways to *try* avoid temptation.

Everything in moderation

Restricting too much of a craving will only lead to binge eating, therefore we like to follow the ‘everything in moderation’ method. Little treats and snacks are OK, just make sure your portion size won’t come back to bite you.

Leave the guilt at the door

Give yourself permission to enjoy the foods you love. Sweet tooth? More of a savoury person? It’s all good- enjoy these moments without the guilt.

Drink up

When your body is dehydrated it seeks out glucose to replenish it, which will leave you feeling peckish. Therefore, hydration is a quick and easy way to help your body control its hunger.

The health swap

There are so many delicious substitutes out there that you can swap out for your ‘naughty’ cravings. For instance, fruit is a great alternative for a piece of chocolate!

As with everything in life, it’s all about finding a balance. Try the tips & tricks that we’ve mentioned if you’re ever feeling a little off-balance or tempted.
